Carla and Crappy Show: The 2021 Bowlapalooza Edition

It’s college football bowl season, and around these parts, that means one thing: It’s Bowlapalooza time!

 

Not familiar with the drill? It’s pretty simple. A few years back, Carla and Crappy thought it would be fun to dedicate a show to the bowl games that don’t get the same kind of attention as the New Year’s Six games or BCS/CFP games. And that’s a shame, because that’s where most of season’s fun resides. So we grab some friends and pick the games that catch our attention for whatever reason, no NY6 or CFP games allowed (C&C will get to those in subsequent shows).

 

This was the season of the guest host, and we invited them all back to participate. Besides Carla, Crappy and A.J., this year’s lineup included the following college football luminaries: Nubyjas Wilborn, Gabby Biltz, Kelly and Aidan Krieg and Jake Rose.

Bahamas Bowl, Middle Tennessee vs. Toledo

2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, Conway, SC, ESPN

Myrtle Beach Bowl Presented by Tax Act, Old Dominion vs. Tulsa

8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, Fort Worth, Texas, ESPN

Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl, Army vs. Missouri

Could Army beat an SEC team? In this case, yes.

 

3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, Frisco, Texas, ESPN

Frisco Football Classic, North Texas vs. Miami (Ohio)

Did you know there are two games in Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas? Crappy didn’t until we got to this one. The other one – and the one that A.J. actually wanted to talk about – is below.

Dabo’s found some coordinators, but the Clemson schadenfreude is STILL off the charts for this game.

Duke’s Mayo Bowl, North Carolina vs. South Carolina

Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Washington State vs Miami
